MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, his hit from 2016, was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for the Best Song. His debut album was a long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. It reached the number 8 spot at the top of the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit for Ozuna and for him in the following year. He was a part of the team with Noriel for Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and in the year following, he released his sophomore album the charting Dopamina. In 2021 he recorded a duet for TINI's hit single Maldita Foto. The year 2023 came around and the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was raised in an musical family. His younger brother and his mother are also musicians. In interviews, he referred to the importance of music as a requirement. As a child, playing the guitar ukulele and piano. The first choice for his career was to be a veterinarian, but his brother Julian encouraged him to learn singing with an instructor from a Cuban instructor. It was the result that he discovered his own talents for singing, and the result transformed his career path.
