Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig Sept. 21 in 1983) is a famous American actor. Most notably, she appeared as Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost TV series as well as Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. Maggie Grace is originally from Worthington from Ohio dropped out high school in order to move to Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. While struggling financially she landed her first role as Rachel's Room's title character the video on-demand show Rachel's Room in the year 2001. In 2002, she was nominated for a Young Artist Award with her part as the 15-year-old murder victim Martha Moxley. Grace was Shannon Rutherford on the Lost TV show in 2004. She was the main character for two seasons and was awarded an award for her performance, a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace, who had worked with Tom Welling on The Fog in the year 2005, was looking to go to film. She also was in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and also, as Liam Neeson's Kim Mills as Kim Mills in Taken. The role was reprised in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). The actress also appeared in Alice as Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is a modern version that Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace was Shannon on the final episode and two other episodes. Grace was a part of the show's sixth season that aired from 2013 until the year 2014. She portrays Faith she is an admirer and muse to the actors. Hank Moody as played by David Duchovny falls in love with her. Being part of the Gyllenhaal Family, she is the daughter and elder sister to the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. In her early teens She appeared in small roles in her father's movies and co-starred with her older brother in Donnie Darko which is a popular cult movie. Her subsequent roles included Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind which was released in 2002 as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was nominated for an Golden Globe Award in both the drama Sherrybaby (2005) and in the romantic comedy Secretary (2002). Both films received acclaim from critics. The Dark Knight, which came out in 2008 following numerous highly successful films, including World Trade Center (2006), brought Gyllenhaal greater fame. As a single mother, in Crazy Heart (2009) she received a nomination for Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Gyllenhaal's debut as a writer and director was in 2021 with The Lost Daughter, a psychological thriller in which she won an award at the Venice International Film Festival Best Screenplay Award. The film also won the Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
