Emma

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. When she was just five years old and moved to Oxfordshire and attended the Dragon School. Emma chose to be an actor by the age of six. Through the years, she attended the Oxford branch Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. There she learned singing, dancing and acting. In a school play and a Stagecoach production, Emma took as the lead role at age 10, and acted. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the movie adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book was cast in the year 1999. Emma was discovered through Emma's Oxford theatre teacher. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone and Ron Weasley told Emma after eight auditions that she had been chosen for these parts. She was cast alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. The film's release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's first cinematic screen appearance. The highest-grossing movie of 2001, the film set records for its opening day opening and opening weekend takings. It was highly acclaimed by critics, as were the performance of three young actors. The Daily Telegraph, an important British paper, called Emma's performances "amazing". Emma was later awarded five prizes in recognition of her work in the movie.
