Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musical family. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, old boleros, and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana loves tangos as well drama and opera. At age 16 she began singing and learning music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began giving her a more intensive singing instruction. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. The singer performed in Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a student and professional. In 2000 she moved back to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she settled in her current home in Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. Alongside being an instructor and performer in the local area, her love of arts and music keeps her engaged in a wide range of different projects. Ana was also a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher at the Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her sharing her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she will inspire a love, especially in the younger generations to keep this tradition in the present.
