 Kristy Swanson is an American actor with an estimated net worth of $4 million. Kristy is well-known as the character Buffy Summers, in the movie "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". "Swanson was born 19 December 1969. She was born in Mission Viejo, California. Her parents knew she had a passion for acting and she started auditioning for roles at age nine. She began going for television commercials and was able to land her first gig as a character in a doll house commercial. Soon after, she was able to land several other commercials and also began her education in The Actors Workshop, one of Southern California's most renowned film acting programs.After she began training in The Actors Workshop with R.J. Adams, Swanson starting booking appearances on television series. The first TV appearances she made were appearances in "Cagney and Lacey", "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" and other shows. In 1986, she appeared on two John Hughes movies. She played a role that was not spoken in "Pretty in Pink," appearing at the end of the movie after Hughes thought the movie's conclusion needed to be shot again to better test the audience. In "Ferris Bueller’s Day Off" the actress was also given a minor role.
